Summer and Winter property taxes become delinquent if payment for a given year is not made to your city or township office by February 28th of the following year. On March 1st, the taxes are purchased and collected by the Macomb County Treasurer. Village property taxes become delinquent if payment for a given year is not made to the village office by September 14th of the current year. On September 15th, village taxes are purchased and collected by the County Treasurer. The timeline will give you a better look at how the delinquent tax process works.
